What are Jack Nuts?

Jack nuts, also known as blind nuts or threaded inserts, are fasteners designed to be used in thin materials or in situations where only one side of the material is accessible. They consist of a threaded insert with a flange at one end and a collapsible sleeve at the other. When a bolt is tightened into the insert, the collapsible sleeve expands, creating a secure and tight fit within the material.

Are Jack Nuts Removable?

Due to their design, they can be easily uninstalled by unscrewing the bolt from the insert. How to Tighten a Jack Nut

1. Select the Right Size: Ensure that the jack nut and the corresponding bolt are of the appropriate size for the application. Using the wrong size can lead to improper tightening and potential failure.

2. Insertion: Insert the jack nut into the pre-drilled hole in the material. The flanged end should be flush with the surface of the material.
