EPDM rubber is a high density rubber primarily used for outdoor applications. It has dynamic and mechanical properties between natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Do not use EPDM if continual contact with petroleum based products is required. Not recommended for usage in food applications or those that are exposed to aromatic hydrocarbons.

EPDM materials are resistant to aging, ozone, high and low temperature, UV, acid and alkali, good recovery, non-conductivity, and good compression/tensile strength which makes EPDM bonded washers have good physical and chemical properties. The special structure makes the EPDM gasket excellent in water resistance.

Application: the EPDM washer is used for screw and roofing nail.They also may be used to dampen vibration or reduce wear and marring.
