A detailed description of different kinds of nuts
1. Cover nut
There are two kinds of cover nuts. One is a low, or regular, cap nut. The other is a strong cap nut. A strong cap nut is wider and taller to maintain a longer nut. There are also locking cap nuts with twisted screws in hexagonal areas to produce close friction with each other to avoid loosening the nut due to vibration.
2. Barrel nuts
Barrel nuts are also known as cross screws or screw nuts, which are made of steel materials. They are called professional nuts, which are very often used in aerospace and are also found to be used to achieve the purpose of furniture.
Nuts of those types are usually made of very thin bolt sheets and metal parts, as well as common steel or calcined parts.
