Different types of threads

A thread, often referred to simply as a thread, is a helical structure used to convert between rotation and force. According to different classification criteria, we can divide thread into different types. The following are based on the pitch standard:

Thin line
Fine tooth screws with small pitch are generally used for parts requiring high vibration resistance. The advantages are as follows:

Self-locking performance is good.
Strong anti-vibration and anti-loosening ability.
More precise control and adjustment.
Coarse teeth
Compared with fine thread, coarse thread has larger pitch and is more suitable for general use.

High strength, fast tightening speed.
Not easy to wear.
Convenient installation and disassembly, complete supporting standard parts.
High-low thread
High and low screws have double lead threads, with one thread high and the other low to allow easier penetration of the substrate. Basic applications are plastic, nylon, wood or other low-density materials.

Minimize the amount of displaced material.
Create a stronger grip.
Increase pull resistance.
Full thread and half thread
Screws can be either full or half threaded in proportion to the length of the thread. Generally the longer screws are half threaded and the shorter ones are full threaded.
